Newly Invented Christian Metal Art Product to Adorn
Headstones
By Patrick R Boardman
Headstone art is not a common term but with the
unveiling of a new metal art product, it's looking like
an extremely nice way to honor loved ones; for those who
are Christian there's no more appropriate symbol than an
angel. In fact the product is called Angels for Loved
Ones. They are theft-proof, with a clamp and locking
chain, and vandals may not want the bad luck of
hammering an angel. Metal-sculpture artist Todd Moore
has patented this design, his angelic vision to enhance
cemetery memorials.
The angels are in the small manufacturing stage so it
will take time for the public to become aware of their
possibilities as unique gifts and beautiful adornments
for places other than cemeteries. Only good reviews are
expected of course - no one wants to take the chance of
roasting in the red hot coals of you-know-where for a
trashing of such a holy item.
It would be safe to say that religious artwork is exempt
from being defined as graven images, for strict purists
who may question displays of holy forms. Part of the
mystique of spirituality within churches is the artistic
design of churches. In the case of the Catholic Church
the Vatican has collected many centuries worth of
valuable art. The wealth of churches allows them to
decorate lavishly to attract followers. It is only
natural to gather a church membership by making the
surroundings of worship as pleasurable as possible. Rich
people have enough money to give generously to their
church so courting a high class of parishioners is
always desirable.
People spend large amounts of money on granite grave
markers and memorial headstones so it stands to reason
that a small investment of less than $300 to augment the
pious atmosphere of quiet areas containing cemetery
headstones, if only to be holier-than-thou with the
sculpted metal angels reaching heavenward with their
prayers. Reality is what you make it, whether
superficial or deep. In any case the memory of loved
ones is the reason family goes to visit the cemetery and
bring personal remembrance to ancestors and more
recently deceased family or friends.
It is expected that the metal angels will become popular
for patios and backyards - something new in the line of
Christian gifts is always welcome where consumers have
some extra money to decorate lavishly. It is often
impossible to figure out what kind of new unique gift to
get for someone close that would be considered extra
thoughtful. The Angels for Love Ones units can clamp
onto several widths of headstones or other objects.
There would be no need to worry about re-gifting for
this would be something you wouldn't be able to get from
anywhere else.
The Angels for Loved Ones certainly deserve points for
originality and taste. They come in a number of textured
colors including white, pink, blue, copper with black
fleck, Stone with black fleck, and silver with black
fleck. These colors have been chosen to blend in with
the granite surroundings and provide nice contrasts in
the light of various times of day.
These metal angels are ordered from the company website
and delivered to anywhere in the U.S. or Canada. They
are easy to install but care should be taken to order
the right size clamp so it's a good idea to measure the
thickness of the memorial so that the correct clamp can
be delivered. Aside from that, it only requires a wrench
to affix the angel to the granite monument. Then you
will have the angel with its eternal flame over the
resting place of someone very dear who will be missed. |
