The northern part of India is the home of famous
monuments as it has been marked as the exquisite
collection of architecture and design. The northern part
of India can be called as the hub of the famous
monuments. The famous monument Taj Mahal is also counted
in the Seven Wonders of the World that located in North
India. However, the northern part of India does not only
have the Taj Mahal but it also posses some of the other
ancient and finest monuments.
As the result of the foreign invasion in India there are
such famous monuments in the northern part of our
country but after the downfall of empires the forts,
palaces and the monuments has become isolated but after
that these places were opened for the public viewing.
The major Indian monuments marked the presence of the
Mughal dynasty in India.
The Government of India has taken many steps to preserve
the ancient and historic monuments of the country as it
has been the pride of India. The majority of the
monuments that are situated in the northern part of the
country are in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan,
Delhi, Punjab and Haryana. The ancient monuments that
includes Taj Mahal, Humayun Tomb, Qutab Minar, Red Fort,
Hawa Mahal, India Gate. There are certain other palaces
and forts that are there in Rajasthan. State wise list

The states of North India like Himachal Pradesh, Delhi,
Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand,
Rajasthan which is situated in the non peninsular part
of the country. The northern part of India is the
mixture of the different cultures and religions and is
more dynamic in nature. The northern part of the country
has many special attraction like Rajasthan is called as
the "Desert Jewel of India," Punjab is the state which
is called as "granary of the India" and the Uttar
Pradesh is having the "one of the most dynamic and
diverse state of India". Every state has its own
importance in the tourism. Simlarly Delhi is having the
history of mixture of the Indo Islamic culture, healthy
and wholesome tourism is explored in Uttrakhand, "Nature
at its best" is the term that is given to Himachal
Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir is blessed with the "Paradise
on Earth."
Regarding the religious tourism in the Northern part of
India there are holy pilgrimage like Badrinath, Gangotri,
Kedarnath and Yamunotri which together combines to form
Chardham, Kailash Mansarovar, etc. The other famous
places like Vaishno Devi Yatra to Jammu & Kashmir which
is devoted to Mata Vaishno Devi, Golden Temple in Punjab
devoted to Sri Harmandir Sahib, Mathura and Vrindavan
from Uttar Pradesh devoted to Lord Krishna, Char Dham
dedicated to Lord Shiva, Dharamshala in Himachal
Pradesh. India posses nearly 27 World Heritage Sites
from which 12 are located in the North India. |
