Dealing With Grief and Being Happy
By Robert Roderick
Everyone in their life at some point or another
experiences grief. It could come through death for a
loved one, finance troubles or possibly a relationship.
Everyone on this planet experiences grief many times
over.
What we must understand is that grief is a normal part
of life, and is something that you cannot avoid. It's
normal for us to try and avoid the feelings of grief as
we usually don't know how to cope. The truth of the
matter is, it never gets easier no matter how much grief
you have experienced in your life.
Their are a few points that we should take into
consideration when faced with any form of grief. Below I
have listed these points for you to consider on how to
cope with grief. This is a short 3 step process for
anyone to follow:
1) First we must accept what causes us the personal
grief we are going through. Self admittance that we are
experiencing grief rather than denial brings us closer
to coping with grief.
2) We must analyze our actions and thoughts and come to
a final conclusion to whether we contributed to the
grieving in one form or another.
3) Lastly, once we have analyzed all other key points we
then must start the process of overcoming our grief,
their isn't a magical formula to cure grief instantly.
Like anything in life, things need time.
With grief comes sadness, sadness leads to pain mentally
and physically, depression and regret as well as suicide
in rare cases. These are some of the things that
accompany grief which sadly can't be avoided for some,
the best we can do is find a way to soothe the process
and move on with our lives. Always remember you are not
alone, and whether you believe it or not time is the
best healing that you could afford yourself. Start with
the 3 key process and write down points on a daily basis
that lead you to the feeling of grief, sadness, regret
etc, then work on making small changes to reverse these
feelings one step at a time.
If this seems too difficult for you don't fret, I advice
consulting your local doctor and he/she will forward you
to some sort of counseling as well as offer the support
you may need in times of grief.
Always take action, don't let negative feeling take
control of your life, you are the master and creator of
all things on this planet. With time and action you will
find that you can overcome anything, and each and
passing day will make you stronger in the long run. |
